In accordance with state law MVSD has cooperated in the creation of a committee to investigate the benifits of merging schoold districts and supervisory unions in our region. The region MVSD is grouped with is called Champlain Valley North and includes with Enosburg-Richford, Northern Mountain Valley, Maple Run, Georgia, Fairfax, and Fletcher.
The first meeting of this committee was on September 29th, and future meetings are being scheduled. At the end of the committee's study process a potential merger would be contingent on a vote by the residents of the region.
